Some people just love talking about running
Here's what it would be like if they spoke the same way doing every day things.
How to get rid of runners side stitch
One of the most irritating things runners get when they are out on their run is getting a stitch. I've put together my top 6 tips to avoid getting that dreaded side stitch.
1. Hydrate, Hydrate, Hydrate
Make sure you are well hydrated. Water or juice will suffice.
2. Don't over Indulge
Eating is good eating is important just try not to pig out before your run
3. Use The Bathroom
This is just common sense plus it eliminates any of bad stuff in you
4. Warm Up
A few minutes brisk walk or some light aerobic exercises will help greatly.
5. Massage
Gently massage the effected area to loosen things up a bit.
6. BREATHE
Try to regulate your breathing, have a conversation with your running buddy. If you can't or struggle then drop your pace down a bit. Running should be fun, don't let a stitch ruin it.
Top tip
This works every time for me. Take a large deep breath in and then exhale everything until there is no air left. Do this twice and your stitch will be gone. This method is by far the best i have tried. This is spot on, To high five or not?? Also i have the same logistic distance skills as the girl in the video. I have just launched a Dundee Half Marathon and Full Marathon page on the site. That took place on the 20th of July 2014. It features Videos, Tweets and Instagram photos. Go take a look now!! Click here to see the Dundee Marathon and Half Marathon page! If you have met me and we have spoke about this site before, you'll know it was built on the basis that I had terrible anxiety about running and wanted to help others overcome it, like I'm am doing. With a headline like... "To the fatty running on the Westview track" This article really stood out to me and put me in an instant foul mood but there is a shock ending. Click on the photo to see the article... Yesterday I attended the 2nd birthday celebration of parkrun at Camperdown Country Park on behalf of Dundee Sweatshop. It was the first one I had been to and I have to say it was fantastic, I have just uploaded all the photos I took at the event. Please click on the image below to see them all. This is for anyone who has ever ran long distance, I'm sure you can relate to this. For anyone considering long distance, please train for it or this could be you.
I watched this before my first Half Marathon and didn't train... This was pretty much the state i was in hahaha.. courtesy of Barney Stinson from How I met Your Mother. |
