Where to run in Dundee for beginners? I see a lot of runners at all times of the day in Dundee and i know all to well how it feels to run alone. For me I had terrible anxiety about running alone, so i would go out at 5am or 1am so I wouldn't pass any people. The timings were ruining my body clock and i wasn't getting the best out of my runs. I Googled running in Dundee and read all about this amazing running group in Dundee that was more focused on the community spirit of things than competitive runs. The club meet up at the Sweatshop Store based in David Lloyd in Monifieth (click here for location). The club goes out 3 times a week.
The video below explains the Sweatshop Running Community better than i ever could. There is perks to running with the club... like Advice Drinks, T Shirts, Foam Rollers, Watches and Running Shoes, plus it's all FREE!! Now i work for the company that organises the runs and have met loads of new people i now class as friends. Visit the website to see more about the club (click on the logo)

I've been mentioning this video a lot lately, I too know the pain and suffering of descending stairs after a half marathon and this video captures it perfectly. Remember folks after a big distance run you should warm down / stretch / ice bath or cold shower then compression wear for the fastest recovery. This is for anyone who has ever ran long distance, I'm sure you can relate to this. For anyone considering long distance, please train for it or this could be you.
I watched this before my first Half Marathon and didn't train... This was pretty much the state i was in hahaha.. courtesy of Barney Stinson from How I met Your Mother. Just found this great video today about a living legend. There's a lot of things I didn't know about him, some even controversial. One of my friends shared this with me and I just had to share it with you fine fellow Dundee Runners. It's really funny from start to finish. Since there is never much funny things associated with running, take the time to rejoice in this hilarious comic. (CLICK ON THE IMAGE TO SEE THE REST OF THE COMIC)
