I am often asked what's the best way to start running for beginners. So I've posted a few things to help you get started or to get back into running. The first is fairly basic but can be printed off or saved so you can see it whenever. It's really easy to follow and should work great for most people although you'll likely advance quicker than the weeks suggest. There is also a more detailed plan from the NHS called Couch to 5K the involves loads of added extras too. The highly recommended My Asics lets you decide how far your goal is, then it will come up with a training plan just for you that is printable. It can also be joint up with a free App that includes gps to track your runs. This was recommend to me for my first half marathon and i know of others than use it and love it. Here is a brief review of it from Gizmodo (<-Click to see review) If you like to be more social and run with other folk then Sweatshop have a beginners group that depart from David Lloyd Gym in Monifieth every Sunday morning at 10.30am. If your felling a bit more adventurous they do 2 other runs that feature 3K/5K/8K on Tuesday night at 7pm and Wednesday night at 6:30pm
